Muslim Youth Leadership Challenge (MYLC) is a premier training program for young leaders. The aim is to empower, inspire, motivate, and mentor Muslim youth by encouraging personal excellence, community development and spiritual growth.
MYLC is an initiative of Mission of Hope, a not for profit Muslim health organisation with a focus on health and community development.
In 2010, the program will be involve Muslim youth aged between 16 and 35. Two major events will be held including a Leadership Forum for males and females, and a women's weekend retreat.
The Muslim Youth Leadership Forum will be held on Saturday 22nd of May 2010 at the University of Western Sydney, Bankstown Campus. This MYLC program will offer attendees an inspirational experience with the leaders and role models of today. REGISTER HERE
The Women's Leadership and Wellness Retreat is for Muslim women aged between 18-35 years of age. 50 participants will be selected to participate to further develop their leadership capacity at a women's retreat to be held at Vision Valley from Friday May 28th-Sunday 30th 2010. They will be encouraged to work towards accomplishing personal goals through teamwork, respect, and pro-activity.
If you identify yourself as a Muslim and are enthusiastic female motivated toward positive change, apply to participate in the unique 3 Day Leadership and Wellness Retreat by downloading the application form. MYLC will select 50 Muslim females between the ages of 18 and 35 from various cultural, ethnic, and Muslim backgrounds across Sydney to bring them together to develop the new generation of Australian Muslim women leaders.
MYLC has partnered with the Australian Federal Police Community Liaison Team in bringing the 2010 program to Muslim youth.
